Location

Marymount’s Ballston Center is located at the intersection of Glebe Road and Fairfax Drive, two blocks from Metro. Shuttle service is available to and from the Ballston-MU Metro station.

Parking

Ballston Center’s parking garage may be accessed from the rear of the building, off N. Wakefield Street. Overflow parking is available in the Arlington Gateway building located across from Ballston Center at 901 North Glebe Road (Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., rates vary). Meter parking is available on N. Glebe Road and N. Fairfax Drive.

Tatiana Escobar is an Associate Principal and Senior Project Architect in Perkins+Will’s Washington, DC office. Tatiana has been an integral part of the Healthcare practice at Perkins+Will’ Washington, DC office since 2007 and is a practice leader. She has over two decades of experience ranging from project design to project management and has worked on a wide variety of building types and master plans throughout her career. Since joining Perkins+Will Tatiana has focused on healthcare planning and design as well having construction oversight of numerous healthcare projects. She has a background that spans from conceptual planning to field experience which provides clients with a solid platform for analyzing design decisions.

Paul is a senior level architect and development professional currently serving as Director for Cumming Corporation focusing on providing consulting and project management services for healthcare providers and systems. He has more than 30 years’ experience managing facility projects and fulfilling objectives and strategic facility visions for the healthcare sector. Paul has served as project manager and director for design and construction activities for Columbia Saint Mary’s Health System in Milwaukee and for Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic States Region.

Will has more than 16 years of experience in construction, building on his civil engineering degree and former military experience to form strong teams and provide leadership on a range of corporate initiatives. Will’s strengths include intricate phased projects in occupied spaces, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, base building and complex renovation work. He is known for the outstanding client service he provides, seeking ways to partner with his clients’ missions and engaging in connections that go beyond the projects he oversees. At Forrester, he leads a number of market sectors, working closely with education, healthcare, cultural, and faith-based clients.

Children's National Health System | Project Manager

Abby Ralph, MS, MBA is a Project Manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office at Children’s National.  Abby joined Children’s National in 2011 and has worked within divisions such as strategic planning, primary care, neurosciences and finance.  She is currently working with Array to operationalize a primary care clinic with ample administrative space in the Shaw neighborhood and a subspecialty clinic in Friendship Heights.  Abby received her Bachelor’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Toronto and completed a dual Master’s degree in Health Care Administration and Business Administration at the University of Maryland.

Dedicated to sustaining collaborative relationships and exceeding client expectations, Wil is currently a Project Manager at HITT Contracting. As project manager, Wil oversees business development and the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects, based on the visions of owners and architects while providing value to clients and patients. Before HITT, Wil worked as a Project Engineer in multiple locations throughout the United States with large clients in the higher education and high-end retail markets.

Waldon Studio Architects: Associate AIA | Design Professional

Jennifer T. Matthews, Associate AIA is a Design Professional at Waldon Studio Architects in Washington, DC. With 4 years of healthcare design experience, Jennifer has served clients such as Kaiser Permanente, Children’s National, Washington Hospital Center, Johns Hopkins, and United Medical Center. She is the 2018 recipient of the Healthcare Design Magazine HCD 10 Educator Honor Award for her efforts of creating and managing Array Architects’ Mind the Gap event. Jennifer served as the 2013-2014 National Vice President of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). She is a 2013 graduate of the Tuskegee University Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science and a Master of Arts candidate for the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Business Design and Arts Leadership program.

Array Architects: Associate | Interior Designer

Parker is a recent graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Interior Design. She is now an interior designer at Array Architects, where she began her career as an intern. Currently, she is working on a primary care outpatient clinic and a specialty outpatient clinic for Children’s National Health System. Parker has always been drawn to healthcare design because of the exciting challenge it presents in complying with strict requirements while creating a beautiful space. She is passionate about her work because of the opportunity it presents to impact people through healing and comforting environments when they are needed the most.
